Hanoi to install 284 LED screens for National Day celebrations
LED screens across the city aims to broadcast live coverage of the special event.
THE HANOI TIMES — The Hanoi People’s Committee has approved a plan to install screens and a synchronized public address system ahead of the 80th anniversaries of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945) and National Day (September 2, 1945).
Outlined in Hanoi People’s Committee Plan No. 182, this move aims to facilitate visualization of grand ceremonies, parades, and marches for residents and visitors, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of patriotism and national pride.
The city will also use 127 privately owned LED screens, managed by local businesses, to broadcast event-related content, including live broadcasts, historical documentaries, patriotic songs, and promotional clips showcasing Hanoi and Vietnam.

A public address system comprising 400 speakers will be installed along the 10-kilometer parade route. Mounted on poles or lighting columns at heights between 3.5 and 4.5 meters and spaced 30 to 50 meters apart, the speakers will ensure uniform sound coverage.
All installations must be completed by August 27, with operations running from August 28 to September 2. Installations will comply with regulations on information security, traffic safety, fire prevention, and environmental protection.
Funding for the project will come from the city budget, local government contributions, and lawful social donations. The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with Hanoi Radio & Television, will oversee content development and monitor implementation to ensure alignment with national and city guidelines.
Local authorities will select suitable locations, organize cultural activities, and maintain security, hygiene, and safety at viewing sites to enhance the public experience.
These efforts reflect Hanoi’s commitment to fostering national pride and ensuring inclusive access to one of Vietnam’s most significant annual events.
