The event is expected to attract around 500 participants at the Hanoi Job Exchange Center on 215 Trung Kinh Street, Yen Hoa Ward, part of the Hanoi Employment Service Center.
The upgraded Employment Portal, developed from the existing vieclamhanoi.net website, will be a centralized data hub and an online job-matching environment for both workers and employers.
It applies artificial intelligence to collect, process and analyze labor market data, supporting career counseling, job referrals, labor supply services and workforce trend forecasting. The system aims to improve the effectiveness of job exchange activities and boost labor market matching rates in 2025 and the years ahead.
The launch event will also connect online with 14 satellite job exchanges across the city including Ha Dong, Thien Loc, Vat Lai, Thach That and others.
According to the plan, the 2025 information technology-focused job fair will provide labor market information to workers, trainees, students and businesses across Hanoi at the end of the year.
The goal is to help meet the growing demand for high-quality, specialized human resources in the information technology sector.
Hanoi exceeds annual job creation target
As of October 15, Hanoi had created jobs for more than 195,000 workers, surpassing its 2025 target by 15.7%, according to the city’s Department of Home Affairs.
Nearly 50,000 people secured employment through loans from the city budget entrusted to the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, totaling VND4.1 trillion (US$155.4 million).
Another 21,100 workers found jobs through counseling services and job fairs organized by the Hanoi Center for Employment Service. Labor export programs placed 3,340 workers abroad, while over 121,700 people found jobs through other channels.
To support workers and employers, the city has expanded career counseling, vocational training guidance, unemployment insurance consultations and legal advisory services, alongside frequent job-matching events.
According to Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Center for Employment Service, the labor market is shifting from temporary, seasonal jobs toward more stable, long-term positions tied to key growth sectors.
Demand remains high in commerce and services, especially retail, e-commerce, logistics, food services and entertainment ahead of the year-end shopping season.
Hiring needs in construction are also expected to rise as public investment disbursement accelerates across major transport projects. Manufacturing continues to recruit skilled technicians and workers to meet year-end orders, while tourism maintains steady demand for personnel.
Under its year-end labor market plan, Hanoi will focus on six priorities: strengthening communication on labor policies, issuing measures to support labor market development, upgrading the city’s employment portal, streamlining administrative procedures to attract investment, improving job-creation lending programs and promoting effective labor market solutions.
