At the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung has focused on commendation policy, planning of liquor stores, planning of tobacco wholesale and retail shops, and project on building concentrated wastewater treatment systems in the industrial clusters operating without wastewater treatment system.

In the discussion, deputies of the Municipal People’s Committee discussed investment project on building concentrated wastewater treatment system in the industrial clusters operating without the system. So far, the project on building concentrated wastewater treatment system in industrial clusters in Hanoi for the 2014-2015 period is behind schedule, since it faces difficulties with land fund, land withdrawal and compensation for land clearance, limited capabilities of consulting units, and limited budget.

According to report of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, Hanoi has 43 industrial clusters. Nine of them invested in building wastewater treatment system, but only four operate the systems efficiently; 15 others received investment according to Project on building concentrated wastewater treatment system in industrial clusters in Hanoi for the 2014-2015 period. For 19 remaining clusters, the system is not required due to their small amount of wastewater.

The Department of Industry and Trade suggested that Hanoi should call for investment of private sectors to build wastewater treatment facilities in 19 remaining clusters. In response, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung said that he would assign wastewater management task to the Department of Construction, call for investment of private sector to build wastewater treatment system in the 19 industrial clusters and then hand over to enterprises.

The Chairman also asked the Department of Construction, Department of Finance to consider price unit of wastewater services which will be applied for both of enterprises and people in the near future;  and ordered Vice Chairmen to inspect the industrial zones and plan concentrated wastewater treatment facilities there.

City Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung stressed, for collectives and individuals that make extraordinary achievements, such as acts of bravery rescuing people, breaking felony should be immediately rewarded. Therefore, irregular work must reward innovation, often get the information from the media channels, social networks, especially minimizing procedure to consider this reward. Along with that, the collective or individual rewarded should be posted on the City's press system, to spread noble and pervasive gesture in our society.
