Hanoi to strengthen the war against commercial fraud and counterfeiting goods

The Hanoi Steering Committee 389 has just released the Plan No. 52/KH-BCD 389/TP on boosting the war against smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeiting goods in the end months of the year in the Capital.

Under the Plan, in the coming time, members of the Municipal Steering Committee 389 will focus on effectively programs, plans and directive documents of the Government, the Prime Minister and the National Steering Committee 389 on combating smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeiting goods. Regarding the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeiting goods as an important political mission, the committee in collaboration with all levels and sectors will drastically handle all cases. 
 


 

Along with combating smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeiting goods, all departments, sectors and members of Steering Committees of districts, suburban districts, towns are tasked to effectively carry out outlined measures to improve investment and business environment as well as to reform administrative procedures; positively strengthen the application of science and technology; innovate management methods, processes so as to reduce the cost, increase the quality of products and ensure the supply – demand balance of the domestic market. 

In addition, departments, sectors and members of Steering Committees 389 of districts, suburban districts, towns are responsible for enhancing inspection and responsibility; implementing democracy, publicity and transparency in cadre’s work, such as appointment, transfer, rotation, evaluation and reward, etc; handling leaders of authorities, functional agencies which do not combat smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeiting goods drastically; proactively promoting the application of information technology, social network for the popularization task; supplementing additional visual communication forms in key areas, shopping malls, wholesale markets, headquarters of agencies and units in accordance with the directions; reviewing concerned issues and strictly handle illegal cases as stipulated by law; clearly defining responsibilities of heads of anti-smuggling units; strengthening inspection work to recognize the market situation and investigating suspected enterprises; boosting  the combination between functional forces to prevent smuggling, commercial fraudulence, prohibited, counterfeit and poor quality goods in the area. 

Steering Committees 389 of districts, suburban districts and towns will also proactively make detailed plans to perform assigned missions effectively; arrange qualified officials, staffs in suitable positions and areas in order to improve the efficiency of the war against smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeiting goods; proactively review, classify and propose solutions to remove shortcomings; create favorable conditions to help officials, civil servants, soldiers and specialized forces to better perform their duties.
