Hanoi tops Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025
The annual Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025 honored 113 outstanding businesses and organizations for excellence in accommodation, travel services, transportation, events and tourism training.
THE HANOI TIMES — Hanoi solidifies its role as a national tourism leader with multiple wins at the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025, held on September 27.

Hanoi-based enterprises dominated this year’s awards. In the travel category, Hanoitourist and VietranTour were named Best Domestic Travel Agencies, while F5 Vietnam and Sang Trong Vietnam won Best Inbound Travel Agencies. Flamingo Redtour and HanVina Travel received awards for Best Outbound Travel Agencies.
In hospitality, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi ranked among the Top 10 Best 5-Star Hotels and, along with Hotel de L’Opera Hanoi, won the “Best Green Hotel” award. Melia Hanoi was recognized as the Best Event Venue.
Meanwhile, Minh Viet and GSM received Best Tourist Transport Company (Car) honors.
In culinary services, Chef Quan – OldHanoi won Best Restaurant for Tourists. Le Spa du Metropole earned Best Spa & Wellness Service.

Hanoi also claimed awards for Best Community Tourism Destination (Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism) and Best Creative Tourism Product (the “ Deciphering Thang Long Imperial Citadel ” night tour).
In training, the Faculty of Tourism at Hanoi Open University and the Faculty of Tourism Studies at VNU-USSH were awarded Best Tourism Training Institutions.
Speaking at the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2025, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong affirmed the event’s status as the leading benchmark of prestige in the tourism sector.
“The selection process is conducted with seriousness, objectivity, and transparency by a council comprising representatives from government agencies, professional associations, and industry experts. Evaluation criteria are publicly defined to ensure that only the most exemplary units with outstanding contributions to tourism development are honored,” he stated.

The 2025 edition marks the 20th anniversary of the Awards and coincides with several significant national milestones: the 80th anniversaries of the August Revolution and National Day, the 80th Traditional Day of the Cultural Sector, and the 65th anniversary of the Vietnam tourism industry (1959- 2025).
Held on World Tourism Day (September 27) the ceremony carried a strong message in support of the global shift toward sustainable tourism, as championed by the United Nations World Tourism Organization.
