Hanoi showcases tourism potential in France

The event offers Hanoi a valuable platform to showcase heritage and creativity, while strengthening the city’s image as a safe, welcoming, and appealing destination.

THE HANOI TIMES  Hanoi is showcasing itself as a dynamic and attractive destination at the IFTM Top Resa 2025 International Tourism Fair in Paris, which runs until September 25 and draws over 3,000 businesses from 100 countries and 32,000 global tourism professionals.

The pavilion themed “Hanoi - Come to Love” features vivid imagery and promotional videos that highlighted the city’s unique blend of heritage, culture, and modern charm.

The space, with the participation of Vietnam Airlines and 11 leading Hanoi travel businesses, has attracted interest from international partners and visitors, enhancing Hanoi's visibility on the global tourism map.

According to Nguyen Tran Quang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the city’s participation targets the European market, especially French-speaking travelers. “This is part of our strategic effort to attract 7.8 million international visitors by 2025,” he noted.

In coordination with local tourism firms, the department hosted a promotion conference and explored cooperation opportunities in tourism development, in addition to meetings with representatives from the Île-de-France Region and the city of Versailles to strengthen partnerships in aviation, communications, and sustainable tourism practices.

Hanoi’s delegation conducted surveys and exchanged insights on heritage management and tourism development, aiming to apply best practices for the city's sustainable growth.

Nguyen Tien Hoang, Vietnam Airlines Chief Representative in France and Europe stressed the fair's importance for expanding partnerships and developing tailored programs to attract more European tourists to Vietnam.

Adeline Chereau, Marketing Director of international tourism group Club Méditerranée, praised Vietnam’s tourism appeal. “With its cultural diversity and natural beauty, Vietnam continues to attract French travelers seeking authentic and enriching experiences.”

She also highlighted emerging trends among French tourists, from a preference for modern, high-end hotels and restaurants to a growing interest in more authentic, local experiences with communities.

These insights offer valuable direction for Vietnam’s tourism industry, particularly Hanoi, to continue innovating its offerings to meet the evolving expectations of markets such as France and other European countries.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism’s presence at IFTM Top Resa 2025 marks a key step in expanding international outreach and reaffirming Hanoi as a safe, friendly, and compelling destination for global travelers.
