Savor culinary traditions at Hanoi Beverage Festival

Showcasing distinctive beverages and local cuisine, the festival invites both residents and visitors to enjoy a lively, flavor-filled experience that reflects the spirit of Hanoi in the autumn.

THE HANOI TIMES — The five-day festival, beginning on September 17 at Trinh Cong Son Walking Street in Tay Ho Ward, with more than 80 food and beverage stalls, offers residents and visitors flavorful, bustling autumn days in the capital city.

The festival will be a chance for visitors to enjoy cultural spaces amid the days leading up to the magical  Mid-Autumn season.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism, which organizes the event, envisions the festival as an annual cultural highlight, adding new depth to the capital’s tourism experience.

Nguyen Tran Quang, the department's deputy director, said that the festival honors Hanoi’s proud culinary and beverage traditions and promotes the city's culinary destination where culture, innovation and tourism converge.

"Throughout the five-day event, guests can enjoy a variety of immersive experiences, including traditional and regional drinks such as Hanoi tea, sweet soup, classic Hanoi beer and Vietnamese craft brews that highlight the rich local flavors," he stated.

"Visitors can also enjoy creative, wellness-focused beverages that align with the rising trend of healthy sustainable living," he added.

International selections add a global flair, while the “Taste of Hanoi” culinary zone offers exquisite dishes crafted by local artisans, surrounded by demonstrations of traditional craftsmanship that bring Vietnamese kitchen culture to life.

Meanwhile, adding to the festive atmosphere, a beautifully designed artistic check-in area, illuminated with warm lighting and seasonal miniatures, captures the essence of Hanoi in autumn.

In addition, a full program of cultural and artistic performances, folk games, live music, interactive game shows, bartending showcases, and hands-on drink-mixing workshops ensures that the energy never fades.

The highlight of the festival is the thematic forum entitled “Upgrading F&B Services in Tourism Experiences,” where tourism and hospitality professionals will come together to discuss trends, exchange ideas, and explore ways to enhance service quality and attract more visitors to the capital.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism said the Hanoi Beverage Festival aims to foster cultural exchange, creativity and sustainable tourism, affirming Hanoi as a city to taste, experience and remember.
