Hanoi willing to assist Laos in party building

Party building is regarded as one of the key missions of the parties of the two neighboring countries.

The Hanoi Party Committee is willing to share experiences in party building with the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), the city's Party Chief Dinh Tien Dung said on November 9.

Hanoi will provide training and expertise sharing to assist Lao authorities in the party building, Dung said at the meeting with Sisay Leudetmounsone, Head of the LPRP Organisation Commission, who led a delegation of high-ranking LPRP officials to visit Vietnam for further cooperation between the LPRP and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

Dung said the visit of the Lao delegation to Hanoi would foster the friendship between the two parties and peoples.

Sharing some experiences with the Lao delegation, Permanent Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen said that it is important to ensure the leadership of the Party.

The Party needs to constantly renovate its leadership, remain creative and proactive to restructure the organization, and keep setting high standards for Party members and officials to follow, she said.

Tuyen said that the Hanoi Party Committee is the largest in Vietnam with 50 subordinate organizations and nearly 470,000 Party members, accounting for nearly 9% of the total Party members in the country.

In the term 2020-2025, the Hanoi Party Committee has drastically directed the implementation of Party building missions coupled with improved the quality of the Party grassroots organizations, she said.

In recent years, the Hanoi Party Committee has admitted many qualified members while restructuring its organization to ensure better operations.

Speaking highly of the experiences shared by the Hanoi Party Committee, Sisay said they will be valuable, practical lessons for the LPRP. She also thanked Hanoi for having supported Lao authorities in official training and infrastructure development.

At the meeting, delegations from the Hanoi Party Committee and the LPRP also discussed the development of Party cells in enterprises, support for elderly Party members and measures Hanoi has taken to improve the quality of its activities.
