Hanoi youths boost digital transformation in volunteer activities
The "Green Summer" campaign will involve nearly 10,000 volunteers in the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country and with the whole country".
Hanoi's Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on May 31 launched a volunteer youth campaign for the Summer of 2024, during which digital transformation will be actively pursued.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Chu Hong Minh, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, said that this year the union will drive digital transformation in all its activities.
"In particular, the activities include supporting the national high school graduation exam, building an online teaching platform, and opening online classes for students living in difficult circumstances in the capital and other cities and provinces," Minh added.

"As one of the two largest youth union organizations in the country, with a membership of students and young intellectuals, the capital is determined to implement five important projects and achieve 14 basic goals in this year's Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign," said the secretary.
She underlined that this year's campaign involves the participation of 15,000 youth union members and young people to support localities in promoting digital transformation, building new-style rural areas, transferring science and technology, advising and training young people to start businesses, and preserving and developing urban civilization.
The union's goals are to build and maintain at least 80 civilized roads, invest in and support the construction of at least 100 entertainment venues for youth and children, repair at least 150 kilometers of rural roads, provide career counseling to at least 150,000 youth, and support at least 80 startup and innovation projects.
The "Green Summer" campaign will be carried out in the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country and with the whole country", by carrying out meaningful, humane and useful projects and tasks, especially in poor, remote and border areas and islands, Minh emphasized.
