Hanoians' beauty highlighted in art photo exhibition

Under the theme “The Beauty of Hanoians”, the photographers depicted through their snapshots Hanoi people doing business, going to school and performing other routine activities.

Hanoi has inaugurated the seventh edition of Hanoi Artistic Photography Festival entitled “The Beauty of Hanoians” on August 14 at the Exhibition Information House, 45 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District, the Government Portal reported.

The festival drew the attendance of 311 authors and photographers in Hanoi with nearly 2,000 photos, from which the jury board chose 119 entries to be showcased at the exhibition and awarded 11 with prizes including one gold, two silver, and three bronze medals as well as five consolation prizes. 

Under the theme “The Beauty of Hanoians,” the photographers depicted through their snapshots Hanoi people doing business, going to school and performing other routine activities. All photos show the candid, simple and elegant beauties of the portrayed characters. 

Through the exhibition, visitors can perceived that the capital city has become more modern, beautiful, and vibrant, but still peaceful and worthy of the title "City for Peace".

This is an annual event, which is organized by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, the Hanoi Union of Literature and Arts Associations and the Hanoi Art Photography Association, aims to promote the capital photographic movement and encourages photographers to create works regarding Hanoi. 

The exhibition will last until August 16.
