At present, the newspaper has a team of more than 160 people who operate two print and electronic publications, namely the Economic & Urban Newspaper and four special sections in The Hanoi Times, Phap luat & Xa hoi (Law & Society), Tieu dung (Consumption), and Giao thong Ha Noi (Hanoi Traffic).

Given the newspaper's diverse publishing and multimedia platforms, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Thanh Loi emphasized the growing importance of the Economic & Urban Newspaper in the capital's media landscape and throughout the country.

"The newspaper has actively published critical articles on policies, enabling the city's Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to make well-informed decisions based on solid arguments and scientific foundations," Loi said.

Looking ahead, to ensure continued modernization and alignment with digital journalism trends, Loi called on the city's People's Council to focus on reviewing and approving the digital transformation information technology project.

"The goal is to integrate the newspaper's specialized publications into a common CMS system by 2024," Loi said.

In addition, he called on the People's Council to establish a support mechanism to enable the newspaper's distribution at the grassroots level to reach Hanoi's residents. This initiative aims to effectively communicate city leaders' direction, management policies, and achievements in realizing Hanoi's development goals.

Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Council, expressed his enthusiasm and congratulations for the achievements of the Economic & Urban Newspaper in recent years, especially in terms of its growing publication quality, and emphasized the newspaper's significant contribution to the city's achievements despite various challenges.

On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, Ngoc Tuan, on behalf of the leaders of Hanoi, congratulated the dedicated staff, reporters and employees of the Economic & Urban Newspaper and wished them good health, happiness and continued success.

The Chairman, along with staff and reporters of the Economic & Urban Newspaper.

Highlighting the tasks ahead, Tuan urged the Economic & Urban Newspaper to maintain close alignment with the goals of the central government and the city while renewing its information dissemination methods and approaches to provide timely, accurate, and effective information to voters and the public.

He also urged the newspaper to further enhance its role of policy criticism by promptly identifying shortcomings, limitations, and weaknesses in practical affairs and providing directions and solutions for the city's improvement.

In addition, Tuan stressed the importance of developing comprehensive coverage plans on important issues, especially those related to new tasks and policies implemented in the city, to contribute to their successful implementation.

Taking note of the newspaper's proposals, Tuan suggested that the People's Council and the Department of Information and Communication review the newspaper's information technology project for early approval.

This step would create favorable conditions for the newspaper to have the necessary operational infrastructure to meet the requirements of modern journalism, Tuan concluded.
