Hanoi’s supermarkets full of groceries and essentials to calm hoarding frenzy

The supply of goods in Hanoi is abundant, and people should not stock up goods, causing instability in the market.

Facing the fourth wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, goods supply businesses in Hanoi are increasing their reserves by three to five times as compared to normal, especially in terms of essential items.

Currently, the supply of goods in Hanoi is abundant, and people should not stock up goods, causing instability in the market, according to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade.

All districts have plans to mobilize 1,920 locations ready to be repurposed for storage and sales, and 236 vehicles ready to bring goods to the city when necessary.

Supermarkets and convenience stores are full of goods to meet Hanoians’ needs.

At Big C Thang Long supermarket, essential items, including vegetables and fruits, have covered the shelves, and their prices are no different from normal days.

Fresh food products are always replenished by the staff. Big C Thang Long supermarket also encourages sales with many promotions.

Big C Thang Long supermarket has increased the amount of fresh food by five times and dry food by three times to meet the skyrocketing demand of customers.

According to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the city distribution network has 459 markets, 28 trade centers, 123 supermarkets, 1,800 convenience stores, 141 chains, and 2,382 locations food at stabilized prices, tens of thousands of groceries.

 Under any situation, Hanoi will fully ensure supply to deal with surging demand through many service methods and promoting e-commerce applications to curb the influx of people to shopping centers.
