High-ranking delegation honors President Ho Chi Minh, martyrs
The activity aimed to honor President Ho Chi Minh, expressing deep gratitude for his leadership and legacy in Vietnam’s struggle for independence and freedom.
THE HANOI TIMES — A high-ranking delegation of the Party Central Committee, on September 1, led by General Secretary To Lam, laid wreaths, paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum.
The ceremony was held to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2). The wreath bore the inscription: “Eternal gratitude to great President Ho Chi Minh.”

In a solemn atmosphere, the leaders paid deep tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, who founded the Communist Party of Vietnam, proclaimed the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and opened a new era of independence and freedom.

The delegation then visited the Memorial to the Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street, offering incense and wreaths in honor of those who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence, freedom and the people’s happiness.

On the same day, a delegation of the Hanoi Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Politburo member and Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai, also paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs.

City leaders, mindful of his teachings, reaffirmed their determination to strengthen unity, uphold responsibility, and build Hanoi into a “Civilized - Cultured - Modern” capital worthy of the nation’s heart.

That day also saw delegations from the armed forces, the public security sector, international guests and large numbers of officials and citizens visiting the Mausoleum to honor President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs.
