The sentiment was shared at the meetings between the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung and the General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister Phankham Viphavan, and Chairman of the National Assembly Xaysomphone Phomvihane on April 4.

During these meetings, the Hanoi Party chief sent sincere greetings from leaders of the Lao Party and Government and congratulated the country for its significant socio-economic achievements in the past years.

At talks with General Secretary Thongloun Sisoulith, Dung informed the host country leader of the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for Hanoi-Vientiane cooperation in the 2022-2025 period, which serves as the basis for future cooperation between the two capital cities in the coming time.

“Hanoi always gives its highest priority to promoting the friendship and cooperation with Laos provinces/cities, especially Vientiane,” Dung said.

For his part, Sisoulith welcomed the visit of Hanoi’s high-level delegation to Vientiane on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations, and the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.
