Four new cases today were found in Hanoi, putting the city at the top in Vietnam with 20 infected people.
Vietnam saw another jump in the number of people positive with the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) with 10 more cases confirmed on Wednesday [March 18], including four foreigners, taking the toll of infections to 76.
On March 8, Vietnam also detected 10 new cases.

Four new cases were found in Hanoi on Wednesday, taking the tally in the city to 20, the highest number among localities in Vietnam.
In the list revealed by the Ministry of Health, patient No.67 is a 36-year-old man in the central province of Ninh Thuan who attended a mass Muslim gathering in Malaysia from February 27 to March 1. He returned to the country on March 4.
The 68th patient is a 41-year-old American man whose wife is Vietnamese, living in the central city of Danang. He took a Singapore-Danang flight on March 14.
The 69th patient is a German visitor aged 30 staying in Hanoi. He arrived at Noi Bai International Airport on March 13.
A male student of 19 years old returning to the country from the UK is the 70th person infected with the virus. He arrived in Hanoi on flight TK164 on March 16.
The 71st case is a 19-year-old female student living in Hanoi. She was back to Hanoi on the same flight as the 70th patient.
A French woman of 25 years of age is the 72nd patient. She arrived in Hanoi on March 9.
Meanwhile, the 73rd case is an 11-year-old boy in the northern province of Hai Duong who came back the country on flight VN0054 on March 9.
A man of 23 years old in the northern province of Phu Tho became the 74th patient. He reached homeland on March 16 on flight VN0018.
The 75th case is a 40-year-old woman who came back to Ho Chi Minh City on flight VN50 on March 15 after a trip to London from March 4.
The last patient confirmed in the day, the 76th case, is a Frenchman who arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on March 10 on flight TK162.
Among the 60 active cases, 22 are foreigners who are nationals of the UK, the US, France, Mexico, Germany, Latvia, and Ireland.
With the new infected cases, Hanoi takes the lead in the number of infections in Vietnam with 20, followed by Ho Chi Minh City with 11, and the central province of Binh Thuan with 9.
