Miss Albania crowned Miss Earth, Vietnamese beauty wins Miss Earth Water

After nearly a month of competition, Miss Earth 2023, hosted by Vietnam, wrapped up with the crown belonging to Miss Albania.

The Albanian beauty beat nearly 90 contestants from countries and territories around the world to win the Miss Earth 2023 crown.

Drita Ziri, 18, is an Albanian television presenter and model. Standing 1.70 m tall with body measurements of 85-62-99 cm, she is the first Albanian to win the Miss Earth title after being crowned Miss Earth Albania 2023 and second runner-up at Miss Globe 2022.

The sophisticated embroidered design by designer Nguyen Minh Tuan contributed significantly to Drita Ziri's success.

The dress is delicately embellished with thousands of crystal beads and sparkling gemstones on a sheer fabric background, helping the wearer to show off her figure. Nguyen Minh Tuan's design in green, the color of choice for many Miss Earth contestants, is a soft and eye-catching mix of shades.

Miss Earth Albania ordered an evening gown for the final night from a Filipino brand, but the gown had a problem at customs and couldn't get to her. Two days before the final night, her rep turned to designer Tuan, who invited the crew to his store to select the outfit. They chose two designs for Drita Ziri and asked Tuan to make them fit the contestant as quickly as possible. Surprisingly, the dress has a very special meaning when it comes to the coronation moment of Miss Earth 2023.

The beauty from Vietnam, Do Lan Anh, won the title of Miss Earth Water, which is equivalent to second runner-up. She is highly regarded for her outstanding beauty, poise, and ability to present and respond quickly and fluently in English. In addition to the final results, the beauty, who was born in 1997, also won in the categories of Best Appearance and Best National Costume.

Philippine contestant Yllana Marie Aduan won Miss Earth Air while Thai beauty Cora Blialt triumphed in the Miss Earth Fire category.

At the beginning of the final round, the contestants grabbed the spotlight when they appeared in ao dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) designed by Dinh Van Tho.

The contestants then participated in an evening gown runway show and a swimsuit competition to qualify for the Top 20, Top 12, and Top 8 before a public speaking contest on environmental protection. Contestants from Vietnam, the Philippines, Albania and Thailand were selected for this final round.

The Miss Earth 2023 Final Judges are Lorraine Schuck - Vice President of Miss Earth, Truong Ngoc Anh - Head of the Miss Earth 2023 Organizing Committee, Tran Nguyen Thien Huong - Editor-in-Chief of Harper's Bazaar Vietnam Magazine, Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Gabrena Ong, Designer Cory Tran and Designer Jovana Benoit.

According to Truong Ngoc Anh, Vietnam will continue to host the Miss Earth pageant in 2024.
