[My Hanoi] Unforgettable memories

The "No one is forgotten – Nothing is forgotten" photography exhibition to celebrate 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet people, the 45th anniversary of the National Reunification, as well as the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.

The "No one is forgotten – Nothing is forgotten" photography exhibition of more than 100 black-and-white documentary photos,  along  with memorial tree planting, has recently been held in Huu Nghi Garden (Hoa Binh Park, Hanoi) in honor of the great merits of the Vietnamese and Russian fallen combatants fought for peace to their countries and the world.

Prior to the event, on June 10th, 2020, another tree planting activity took place in Hoa Binh Park to plant a "Memorial Garden" on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet people, the 45th anniversary of the National Reunification, as well as the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.

This activity was organized by the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi, with the support of the Hanoi People's Committee, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, and a number of other agencies and organizations. This event is expected to contribute to the celebration of the Vietnam – Russia Year of Friendship held in Vietnam and similar activity in Russia.

2020 has been  declared by the Russian Federation as "The Year of Remembrance and Glory" in commemoration of the merits of the people who fought on battlefields and labored in the rearguard for the Great Victory 75 years ago. A lot of activities have been organized by the State, mass and voluntary organizations  on this occasion.

2020 is also the year the two countries celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (January 30st, 1950 – January 30st, 2020). Through all the challenges of time as well as historical upheavals, especially since the establishment of the Strategic Partnership in 2001 and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2012 until now, Vietnam – Russia cooperation has been increasingly expanded in various fields including politics, economics-trade-investment, security and defense, as well as education and training. Vietnam has always attached great importance to its Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Russian Federation.
