Nghe Tinh “vi dam” folk singing nominated as World Heritage

The 9th session of the Intergovernmental Committee of UNESCO Convention on the protection of intangible cultural heritage will be held from November 24 to 28 at the headquarter of UNESC0 in Paris under the chairmanship of the President of the Commission, Mr José Manuel Rodríguez Cuadros.

As reported by the Intergovernmental Committee for the UNESCO Convention, the proposal recognizes records for Vi Dam singing, Nghe Tinh's folk singing cultural heritage intangible representation of humanity will be reviewed in this session .
 
Nearly 800 delegates from 24 member states of the Intergovernmental Committee and State records suggest the UNESCO recognition as intangible cultural heritage will be attending this meeting. Besides, the committee also will hear representatives from 27 countries presenting periodic reports on the implementation of the Convention Heritage and 8 report that the current state of the intangible cultural heritage can be protected emergency.
At a press conference held on November 18th in Paris, Mrs. Cécile Duvelle, Secretary in charge of the screening process that the Intergovernmental Committee of UNESCO Convention has received 46 dossiers proposing the recognition of cultural heritage intangible representation of humanity, 8 dossiers requesting recognition as intangible cultural heritage can be protected emergency, 4 records for inclusion in the List of best Practices protection (Registre des meilleures pratiques de sauvegarde) and 2 records suggest getting funding from the support of the UNESCO heritage conservation.
After reviewing all of the foregoing documents, the expert appraisal of the Intergovernmental Committee of UNESCO Convention has decided to introduce at the upcoming session resumes 70% of the 46 records suggest the cultural heritage intangible representation of humanity, 3 dossiers requesting recognition as intangible cultural heritage can be protected emergency, 2 records for inclusion in the List of protected Practices the most.

Among the dossiers submitted as the recognition of intangible cultural heritage, there are a lot of nominations related to community activities such as coffee culture and social relations in the neighborhood Buenos Aires (Argentina), collective dance (Kopatchkata) Dramtche village, Pianets province (Macedonia), or the traditional arts such as art paper (Ebrui) of Turkey, art Al-Zajal recitation of Lebanon, torch festival of the Yi (China), traditional steam bath in the county Voru (Estonia)
Vi Dam singing, Nghe Tinh's folk singing which are considered as cultural heritage intangible representation of humanity in this session is an additional opportunity to honor the cultural heritage and the spirit of our nation.
