Nguyen Duc Chung elected as Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee

On June 14 morning, with 98.5% of the present delegates` agreement (101/103 votes, equivalent to 96.19% of the total number of deputies in the City Council), the Hanoi City People`s Council elected Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung as Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee for 2016-2021 term.

The Hanoi People's Council XV, for tenure of 2016-2021, conducted the first session to elect the leaders of key titles of Hanoi People's Council and Hanoi People's Court Jurors XV, in term of 2016 - 2021 and made a number of City Council duties prescribed by the Law on Organization of the local government.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung - Deputy Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee continues to be elected by City Councils to the position of Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee for the term of 2016-2021.

According to the voting results announced, Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung was elected to the chairmanship of the MPC at the rate of 98.5% of the participants' agreement.

Shortly after the announcement of the voting result, City People's Council adopted Resolution election results confirming Hanoi Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung to 100% of delegates' agreement. City Council allocated the MPC to complete the procedures that have been approved by the Prime Minister.
