PHOTO: Hanoi joins national requiem for Covid-19 deaths

The mass requiem was held in several localities that are most affected by Covid-19 like Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Danang, and Hanoi.

Hanoi’s leaders, residents, and representatives of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in the city took part in the national memorial service held on Friday evening [Nov 19] in remembrance of those that have lost their lives to Covid-19 in Vietnam.

 More than 5,000 monasteries in Hanoi hold the requiem.

 

 

 All monasteries ring the bells at 8:30 on November 19. 
 Requiem was held at Quan Su Pagoda, the VBS headquarters in Hanoi.
