Phu Quoc listed among world's top luxury destinations

This title continues to reinforce Vietnam's biggest island’s status as a world-class destination.

THE HANOI TIMES — Phu Quoc, the only Vietnamese representative, ranked third among the top ten luxury travel destinations in the Asia-Pacific region, according to Travel + Leisure, one of the world's most prestigious travel magazines.

With consecutive international accolades over the past two years, Phu Quoc has firmly established itself as more than just an emerging star. It is now a definitive global luxury getaway.

While famous for its stunning beaches with pristine white sand, gentle waves, and clear waters, such as Bai Kem and Bai Sao, Phu Quoc offers far more than natural beauty.

Now one of Vietnam’s most attractive destinations, the island offers diverse cultural and historical experiences, vibrant entertainment, and accommodations ranging from affordable to ultra-luxurious.

"Few places match Phu Quoc’s consistent, high-caliber awards over the past decade. This confirms the island’s capability and Vietnam’s strategic ambition to swiftly elevate Phu Quoc within the realm of global competition," said Tran Dinh Thien, former director of the Vietnam Institute of Economics.

He added that these milestones are cementing Phu Quoc’s role as an international tourism and economic hub. “Phu Quoc steadily realizes its ambition to be among the world’s most desirable destinations to visit, live, and invest in,” said Thien.
