With the new election, Hanoi People’s Committee has one chairman and six deputy chairpersons for the 2021-26 term.
Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved the voting results for five deputy chairmen of the Hanoi People’s Committee for the 2021-26 term.

The five deputy chairmen were elected on December 9 at a meeting by the municipal People’s Council.
They include Duong Duc Tuan, Ha Minh Hai, Chu Xuan Dung, Nguyen Trong Dong, and Nguyen Manh Quyen.
With the new election, the Hanoi People’s Committee has one chairman and six deputy chairmen for the 2021-26 term, including the five aforementioned and Mr. Le Hong Son, the deputy minister of Justice, who has taken the post since 2014.
Mr. Duong Duc Tuan, a 53-year-old architect born in the northern province of Hung Yen, used to be the secretary of Hoan Kiem District’s Party Committee and held the posts of the deputy director of the municipal Department of Planning and Architecture, and the chairman of Hoan Kiem district People’s Committee.
Mr. Ha Minh Hai, 51, was the secretary of Dong Da District’s Party Committee, the head of the Hanoi Tax Department and the director of the municipal Department of Finance.
Mr. Chu Xuan Dung, a 47-year-old doctor of education born in Hanoi, used to be the director of the municipal Department of Education and Training, the principal of Pham Hong Thai High School and Chu Van An High School, and the deputy director of the Department of Education and Training.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Dong, 51, used to take the roles of the director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the deputy director of the municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the deputy chief of Long Bien district’s Party Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, a 45-year-old Hanoian, held the positions of the director of the Department of Planning and Investment, the position of deputy director of the Department of Planning and Investment, the chief of Quoc Oai district’s Party Committee and the chairman of Quoc Oai district People’s Committe.
