The center serves as a hub for enterprises, household producers and artisans to showcase signature products that reflect the area’s traditions and identity.
Local authorities expect the facility to connect production with consumption while raising the value of OCOP products and traditional craft village goods.
The center features 11 standard booths and a dedicated space for standout products, bringing together 17 OCOP brands, handicrafts and rural industrial items from Quoc Oai and nearby areas.
The layout allows visitors to shop while learning about local culture and craftsmanship. A key attraction is live demonstrations of traditional crafts at the booths.
Residents and tourists can watch artisans prepare specialties such as che lam (sticky rice and ginger candy), gai cake, chung cake (square sticky rice cake) and gio cake (pyramid-shaped rice dumpling).
By combining retail space with hands-on experiences, the center functions as both a marketplace and a cultural venue where traditional knowledge and community heritage are preserved and shared.
All booths comply with regulations on security, fire safety, food hygiene and environmental standards. Public price listings ensure transparency and consumer protection, contributing to a regulated and reliable business environment.
Ngo Van Hung, Vice Chairman of the Quoc Oai Commune People’s Committee, said authorities will coordinate to maintain public order, traffic safety, market supervision and sanitation to ensure smooth operations.
He urged businesses and producers to uphold fair trade practices and provide professional services to visitors.
Hung said the center aims to become a safe and attractive destination that supports local economic growth and promotes Quoc Oai as a culturally rich and dynamic locality.
The project reflects a broader shift in the commune’s development approach, integrating trade and services with experiential tourism to create new value for rural communities.
