Statistics by the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment showed that the city now has 337 craft villages and traditional craft villages certified for their products and preservation and promotion efforts.

Nguyen Dinh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, said the recognition of craft villages and traditional craft villages aims to honor the efforts of artisans, authorities, and local people in preserving and promoting traditional crafts.

To promote the development of craft villages, the Hanoi People's Committee has issued a plan with seven main groups of solutions, mostly on developing policies, applying science and technology, and training human resources and promoting trade.

Meanwhile, the department focuses on the implementation of the city's overall project for the Development of Handicraft Villages in 2025-2030, with a Vision to 2050.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment will also continue the promotion of One Commune One Product (OCOP) items and building tours to craft villages.
