Shops on Hang Ma street of Hanoi’s Old Quarter are dressed in red with diverse decorations, which attracted an influx of locals and visitors one week before the Lunar New Year.

On Hang Ma street, visitors can see many red decorations such as parallel sentences, envelopes, pictures, lanterns, plastic flower branches and other items for Tet. |
Traditional Vietnamese decorations like Chung cake and parallel sentences are of the most sought-after items in this largest festival of the year. |
Lantern, gold bag strings are priced from VND15,000 to VND18,000. Some shops sell blessing strings with prices of VND200,000-VND500,000. |
