Launched on September 21, 2022, the project offered three courses to develop the technological skills of young people between the ages of 14 and 24. Specifically, over 2,400 students participated in the Basic Programming Skills course, over 200 in the Internet of Things course, over 300 in the Artificial Intelligence course, and 50 students were trained in Big Data.
Under the project, training courses have been organized for over 200 teachers to build their professional and pedagogical capacity, as well as practical teaching skills.
Speaking at the ceremony, Tran Van Dat, Deputy Head of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Training, said: "The Samsung Innovation Campus program is very effective and practical. We hope that in the near future, the education sector will continue to receive support and collaboration from Samsung and JA Vietnam to implement this program annually".
As a participant in the program, Nguyen Vinh Huy, a student majoring in Big Data & Machine Learning at Duy Tan University, said that during the SIC training program, they were not only able to create slides for each topic but also had access to a standardized practical environment. They also had the opportunity to intern at Samsung's R&D center. Huy hopes to return after graduation and become an official Samsung employee.
According to Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, Samsung is implementing various activities to support young people in building a better world. It aims to be not only the largest foreign-invested enterprise in Vietnam and the largest contributor to Vietnam's exports but also the one that makes the most efforts in developing technology talents in Vietnam and continuously accompanies the Vietnamese people, he stressed.

As part of the project, trainees have the opportunity to participate in the "Innovation Tech Challenge - 2023" competition in the form of Robocon.
The competition involves six university teams and eight high school teams from seven provinces and cities who create their own robot models and use them to compete on a common field, overcoming tasks and obstacles to score points. Two teams from An Duong High School in Hai Phong and Duy Tan University in the beach city of Danang emerged as the winners of the competition.
The SIC was officially launched globally in 2019 and expanded to 33 countries, including Vietnam. The program has trained about 6,021 Vietnamese youth and about 389 teachers in about 40 schools and 20 provinces and cities nationwide over five years.
