The ambassador said that since Vietnam and Singapore have put the Covid-19 pandemic under control, the two countries have cooperated and shared experiences in preventing the pandemic while pushing forward socio-economic development.

Ambassador Catherine Wong Siow Ping noted that despite the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Singapore is still Vietnam's largest investor, which proves the faith of Singaporean investors in Vietnam and that they will continue to invest in creative industries in the country.

Congratulating the ambassador for successfully completing her term in Vietnam, Mr. Hue expressed his delight at the good relationship between Vietnam and Singapore, especially in trade exchange, investment cooperation and tourism.

Hanoi has cooperated with Singapore in a number of fields, including cultural exchange, smart city building, and urban greenery development, among others, the municipal party chief said.

"The achievements in the relations of the two countries in the past are due in part to the important contributions of the Singapore Embassy and Ambassador Wong Siow Ping," Mr. Hue said.

Briefing the ambassador on some outstanding results in the city’s socio-political performance in 2020, the municipal Party chief expressed his wish that Hanoi would keep cooperating with Singapore in various fields to contribute to promoting the two countries’ good relationship.

Welcoming the proposals of Ambassador Catherine Wong Siow Ping, Party Secretary Vuong Dinh Hue wished the Ambassador will continue to be a bridge to promote the strategic partnership between the two countries.
