Special stamps released to celebrate Vietnam's 80th anniversary of National Day

The stamp set depicts the image of President Ho Chi Minh in a modern graphic art style.

THE HANOI TIMES — The ministries of Science and Technology, and Culture, Sports and Tourism on August 26 released a special postage stamp collection marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2025).

The stamp set consists of a single stamp and one souvenir sheet. The single stamp portrays President Ho Chi Minh, the revered leader who proclaimed the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945.

The souvenir sheet features Vietnam's national emblem and a map of the country, highlighting the complete sovereignty over its seas and islands.

In the background, the sheet incorporates the image of the Dong Son bronze drum, symbolizing thousands of years of Vietnam's history and serving as a reminder of the national culture.

The stamp set conveys a message of infinite gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh along with millions of heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the Fatherland's independence and sovereignty.

The latest stamp collection affirms that after 80 years of construction and development, the lives of the Vietnamese people are increasingly prosperous and happy, the country is constantly innovating to move firmly into a new era of sustainable development and prosperity.

The stamp measures 32x43 mm, while the souvenir sheet measures 80x100 mm. Designed by artist Nguyen Du of the Vietnam Post Corporation, the stamp collection is available nationwide at provincial and municipal post offices until June 30, 2027.
