Vietnam Parliament

A key focus of this session will be the election of the country's top positions, including the Chairman of the National Assembly and the State President.

The activities of the National Assembly (NA) and its Standing Committee will be overseen by the Standing Vice Chairman until the election of a new legislative leader, conducted in compliance with legal procedures.

This is the second time during the 2021-2026 term of office that Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan has been assigned the role of Acting State President.

The global minimum tax will affect multinationals such as Samsung, Intel, LG, Bosch, Sharp, Panasonic, Foxconn and Pegatron, among other investors in Vietnam.

The session will elect a new Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

The session ended with ratifying six laws and 12 resolutions and giving opinions for eight bills.

A high level of political trust is the foundation for close cooperation between the two countries and ensures mutual benefits.

Such a move would help ensure transparency and openness in banking operations while staying in line with Basel II standards and other international practices.

The recovery program is intended to ensure Vietnam’s average GDP growth at 6.5-7% during the 2021-2025 period.

Mr. Hue has taken on the post of Hanoi's Party chief since February 2020.
