The 46th International Chemistry Olympiad opened at the Ha Noi-based University of Natural Sciences on the morning of July 21.
The 46th International Chemistry Olympiad opened at the Ha Noi-based University of Natural Sciences yesterday. Nearly 300 students from 75 countries and territories are participating.
Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan said the event would help students from different countries and territories share their intellectual talent. It will run until July 29.
The olympiad is one of five contests combining mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and information technology to enable international high school students display their talent and make friends.
Viet Nam has participated in the event since 1997. Last year, all four students from the Vietnamese team won medals, including one gold and three silvers.
