The City to further implement Program for rural water supply and sanitation

The Hanoi People’s Committee has issued Official Letter 4569/UBND-SNN dated September 18, requesting city’s relevant departments to further carry out Program for rural water supply and sanitation in Red River Delta funded by World Bank.




 
In response to proposal of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on finalizing plan on Program for Results-based (PforR) Rural Water Supply and Sanitation in eight provinces of the Red River Delta funded by World Bank in Hanoi in 2018, the Hanoi People’s Committee assigns Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to further act as focal point of the program until July 31, 2019.
 



The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is in charge of developing and summing up plans to carry out the program, directing and examining implementation of the program, approving outcome and disbursement index which is submitted to the Coordination Committee of Program for Results-based Rural Water Supply and Sanitation, and report to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Department is also responsible for directing organization of training activities, supervision, information assessment, education and communications.

According to their function and mission, the Department of Health, Department of Education and Training and Hanoi Management Board of Projects on Investment, Construction of Socio-cultural Works perform their tasks pursuant to the program. The Authority of Plan and Investment, Department of Finance and Department of Construction follow up the situation, act as advisor in easing difficulties, and report to the Hanoi People’s Committee according to regulation.
