The second L'Espace - French Culture Center will be launched in Hanoi
The chargé d`affaires of France`s Embassy in Hanoi, Olivier Sigaud put it at the Congress V of the Vietnam – France Friendship Association of Hanoi.
On Aug 27, The Vietnam – France Friendship Association of Hanoi held Congress V to value operation achievement during tenure 2012-2017 as well as list out guidelines for the next term.
Via reports and discussion, the congress come to some key conclusions. In tenure 2017-2022, the Association will keep promoting France culture, mutual understanding between French and Vietnamese. In detail, they would hold economic conferences of Vietnamese and French SMEs, collaborate with Embassy of France in Hanoi to launch a writing contest about France for Vietnamese students to mark the Vietnam-France diplomatic day…
Especially, the Association voted and formed new Executive Board for tenure 2017-2022. Mr Nguyen Lan Trung, ex-vice Director of Hanoi National University is chosen to be the next President of The Vietnam – France Friendship Association of Hanoi (2017-2022).
At the Congress, French Embassy’s chargé d'affaires - Olivier Sigaud pays respect to achievement of the Vietnam – France Friendship Association of Hanoi. He also affirms the diversifying and thriving cooperation between two nations in culture, education as well as economy, commerce… Among those, it’s necessary to mention typical Vietnam-France joint cooperation in Hanoi Temple of Literature renovation plan; Project of establishing air observer system for Hanoi and especially, the Metro line no 3 in Hanoi with the attendance of many French companies. As expected, the second headquarter of L’Espace (French Culture Center in Hanoi) will be launched in Nov, 2017 at Ha Dong District to promote Vietnam young generation’s understanding about France and French via cultural and language activities. Year 2018 is an important milestone in Vietnam-France friendship journey when it witnesses the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic relation's establishment day. “Hence, the cooperation between the capital Hanoi with France cities’ plays a key role to enhance the bilateral tie”, Olivier Sigaud pressed.
