Transerco is expected to boost smart management and modern applications, making a milestone to become an environmentally friendly business in the future.
Hanoi Transportation Corporation (Transerco) needs to make effort to become an outstanding transport brand of the capital city.
Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue made the request when paying a visit on February 4 to encourage workers and staff here on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

Mr. Hue asked Transerco to keep promoting all staff’s spirit to overcome difficulties and offer solutions to adapt to the new Covid-19 pandemic situation and set up the most effective business plan.
Regarding long-term solutions, the municipal Party chief said that Transerco needs to determine its position, with a view to building a leading transport brand of Hanoi and the country as a whole.
“Along with that, Transerco must widely and quickly apply smart management and modern applications and aim at being environmentally friendly," Mr. Hue said.
So far, Transerco has been the pioneer in applying IT to bus operations. With the Timbuyt (which means “find bus”) application, passengers can search for information on all bus lines operated by Transerco.
Besides, passengers can track the bus’ itinerary in real time so as to be at the bus stop on time, without wasting much time waiting at bus stop or missing the trip.
In addition, Hanoi's public transport sector has rolled out electronic payment for bus ticketspurchase, making the tickets selling a convenient service.
Many experts believe that Hanoi needs to accelerate the introduction of electronic bus travel pass and electronic payment. An easy and convenient bus service would certainly lure more passengers, they said.
With Hanoi authorities’ continuous efforts to improve service quality, it is expected that passengers would enjoy a smart and friendly bus system, then they will choose public transport instead of private vehicles.
