Vietnam Airlines celebrates National Day with Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City special flights

Festive flights immerse passengers in Vietnam’s heritage with music, special meals and symbolic designs, spreading pride and national unity.

THE HANOI TIMES — Vietnam Airlines, the leading carrier of Vietnam, has launched special flights under the program “Take-Off with Vietnam Pride” to celebrate the 80th National Day.

Under the campaign, the aviation business will organize special flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on August 29 and September 2, following August 26.

Vietnam Airlines expects that the flights will take passengers onto a unique journey that connects history with the present.

Passengers enjoy small gifts prepared by the cabin crew.

On each flight, the cabin is transformed into a festive space in red and gold, symbolizing the image of Vietnam's national flag, and recalling the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945.

Passengers receive limited-edition boarding passes, enjoy specially designed National Day meals, and listen to the song "Duong Chung Ta Di" (The Road We Take) as the plane taxis, turning the journey into a vivid airborne commemoration of history, peace, independence, and freedom.

The program conveys a message of gratitude to past generations, and inspire pride and unity among passengers.

Through the program, Vietnam Airlines wants to express itself as a cultural and spiritual bridge between the country and the world, beyond a national carrier.

On the ground, the aviation group has been participating in activities marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

Passengers boarding on the special flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City receive memorable gifts.

The campaigns include the “One Billion Steps” program for community health, and the mass exhibition showcasing the country’s 80-year achievements held at the National Exposition Center in Hanoi's Dong Anh Commune from August 28 to September 5.

Through the “Take-Off with Vietnam Pride” program, Vietnam Airlines reaffirms its mission of accompanying the nation’s history, staying connected to the present, and pioneering the future, with the vision of becoming a five-star airline in the region and contributing to Vietnam’s prosperity.
