Vietnam celebrates 100 years of revolutionary press

The 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day was marked by a solemn ceremony on June 21 in Hanoi, drawing the presence of top Party and State leaders. The event also honored the country’s journalism sector with the Ho Chi Minh Order, one of Vietnam’s highest distinctions.

THE HANOI TIMES — A grand ceremony was held on June 21 at the National Convention Center in Hanoi’s Nam Tu Liem District to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2025).

The event was jointly organized by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity, Education and Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Attending the event were Party General Secretary To Lam; former Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, along with other current and former leaders of the Party and State.

The event also honored the country’s journalism sector with the Ho Chi Minh Order, one of Vietnam’s highest distinctions.
