The cultural exchange event would be a chance for Vietnam to promote its unmissable beautiful landscapes and culture diversity to international friends.

Vietnam Days in Switzerland 2021 is hosted under the framework of Vietnam Days Abroad - an annual national promotion program held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2010.

The virtual event is among major activities marking the 50th founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Switzerland diplomatic ties (October 11).

The program will be held online and broadcast live on social networks from 3pm to 6pm on October 9 from Hanoi, Bern, and Geneva including the Facebook fanpage and Youtube channel of Vietnam Days Abroad and VTV4.

According to the organizers, the cultural event features five main parts themed “Hello Switzerland! Hello Europe!” “Original Culture,” “Miracle Vietnam,” “Future Generations,” and “See you in Vietnam.”

The “Miracle Vietnam” part is aimed at promoting unmissable natural landscapes of Vietnam among friends in Switzerland and other European nations at large, with guests sharing their travel experience in Vietnam.

Through unique performances, impressive footage, and the stories told by guests, the audience will also learn about the lively and friendly ties between Vietnam and Switzerland over the past 50 years and gain insights into the iconic landscapes, culture,s and people of both countries.

Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO, under Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tran Quoc Khanh said: “Organizing an online event on such a large scale amidst the Covid-19 pandemic is extremely challenging. However, we have turned challenges into opportunities and put our heart and soul into making the program as lively as possible.”

He hopes that the program will not only tighten the relations between Vietnam and Switzerland but also introduce to the European community a Vietnam that is ready to cooperate with other countries in the world, a country with a culture of rich and friendly history.

Following this event, Vietnam Days in the United States 2021 is scheduled to take place this November, contributing to enhancing the cooperation in various areas between the two countries.
