Vietnam’s Ministry of Health has introduced a map of safe living with Covid -19, at www.antoancovid.vn, to control any outbreak nationwide. The ministry has also stepped up vaccine research and production and the use of advanced technologies in the fight against the pandemic.

Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City's authorities have urged individuals to comply with the regulation on mandatory use of masks in public places and those who fail to comply with it will be seriously sanctioned, especially those in medical and accommodation facilities, shopping malls and public transport.

The National Steering Committee also discussed measures to effectively realize the Vietnamese government’s policy of resuming commercial flights with several countries to welcome back foreign experts and investors to the country, contributing to fulfilling the dual goal of fighting the pandemic and promoting economic development.

As of November 2, Vietnam had gone through 61 days without any community transmission of Covid-19 and the pandemic hotbeds have been basically brought under control.

Together with other localities nationwide, Hanoi's Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control has asked all districts to set up inspection teams on Covid-19 prevention and control, including at medical examination and treatment establishments, schools, production and business establishments, restaurants, concentrated isolation areas, public places and crowded events in the city.

The competent forces will continue to strictly handle the cases of violating measures of pandemic prevention and control issued by the Hanoi People's Committee and the Ministry of Heath.
