Vietnam named among world’s budget-friendly destinations for families
Nine, a Australian website, has announced its annual list of the top four budget-friendly destinations in the world for families.
Vietnam has been ranked 2nd on the list of the best budget-friendly destinations in the world for families that should be on one’s bucklist, Nine, an Australian website, has said.
Nine says Vietnam is one of the best Southeast Asia destinations to explore with little one tin tow.
“There’s no doubt Ho Chi Minh City can be stressful for families – particularly if pushing a pram, but check into one of the many cheap guest houses available and enjoy the city’s French Colonial architecture, Ben Thanh night market, and the ridiculously cheap street food as least for a couple of days,” Nine wrote.
“Then it’s a simple matter of heading to the UNESCO World Heritage city of Hoi An, where a quieter pace lulls you into a relaxed state – so much so that detouring to nearby Cua Dai Beach doesn’t seem like such a bad idea after all,” Nine added.
According to Dilvin Yasa, a freelance journalist, author, who spends a lot of time flying, local food can be purchased for as little as a dollar or two, while simple guesthouse accommodation can be yours with change from a twenty.
The Cook Islands, a self-governing island country in the South Pacific Ocean in free association with New Zealand, tops the list, followed by Vietnam, Turkey and India.
Earlier, Vietnam has been ranked 43rd on the list of the best adventure travel countries in the world, released by Us News and World Report, a US media company.
“Vietnam is densely populated and growing quickly, with about one third of the population living in bustling cities,” Usnews and World Report wrote.
The number of foreign tourists to Vietnam in the first half of 2018 is estimated at 7.89 million, increasing by 27.2% year-on-year, the General Statistics Office has announced.
Arrivals by air, road, and sea in the reviewed period recorded annual increases of 22.2%, 63.7% and 1.7%, respectively, while growth was also seen in the numbers of visitors from all five continents.
