Tran Phu beach in central Nha Trang and Bai Dai (Long) beach in Phu Quoc island district have been listed as one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world, according to Usnews, a US media company.
Tran Phu beach’s ranking came after US’s Clearwater beach in Florida on the list of Usnews.
“Vietnam’s Nha Trang offers numerous beaches spread throughout the city. Its Tran Phu beach sits along a stretch of high-rise hotels with plenty of dining and nightlife nearby. Traverlers visiting the city set up on this beach for its clear and calm waters and beautiful white sand,” Usnews wrote.
Meanwhile, Long beach (Phu Quoc) was in the 20th place on the list.
Phu Quoc island in Vietnam is renowned for its beaches and stunning scenery. Long Beach in particular features strikingly soft white sand and crystal-clear waters. This stretch of sand is also home to numerous resorts, most of which feature huge pools and rooms geared toward families.
In 2017, Khanh Hoa province received more than 5.5 million visitors and earned about VND17.3 trillion (US$761.2 million) from tourism activities. The number of foreign arrivals to Khanh Hoa has to date surpassed 2 million, up 69% from last year, according to Khanh Hoa province Department of Tourism.
Meanwhile, the number of foreign tourists to Phu Quoc island in 2017 reached nearly 361,500, up 72% from a year earlier, according to Kien Giang province's Department of Tourism.
In 2018, Phu Quoc island district plans to put several infrastructure projects into operation such as the Vinpearl tourism complex with a casino, An Thoi-Hon Thom cable car, and Phu Quoc International Passenger Seaport.
Phu Quoc has set a target of receiving 500,000 foreign tourists or more this year, by pursuing strong tourism promotion activities at home and abroad, developing attractive tourism products, and protecting the environment.
