Officials of the Japan National Tourism Organization hope tapping into the wildly popular fan base of Noo will lead to a bigger flow of tourists into their home country.
At a press conference, Noo Phuoc Thinh said he is very happy with new role as the new tourism ambassador and promises to try all bests to complete the responsibility. Noo called his appointment an honour and pledged to work hard to attract many visitors. As plan, Noo Phuoc Thinh will join in the campaigns to promote Japan tourism and cooperate to develop Japan tourism via social network.
Mr. Takahashi Ayumi, Head of JNTO said Japan has been launching many campaigns to promote Japan tourism in many countries and territories worldwide, aiming to reach its target to receive 40 million international visitors to Japan by 2020. According to latest survey, Vietnamese people often choose Japan as tourism destination therefore we select Noo Phuoc Thinh to take on this position aiming to bring our country closer to the Vietnamese, added he.
Noo Phuoc Thinh debuted as a singer eight years ago, gradually earning fame due to his gorgeous looks and excellent singing and dancing. The 29-year-old singer and model is idolized by a growing number of young fans and enjoyed a remarkably triumphant year in 2016. Thinh was also a breath of fresh air to the fourth season of the "The Voice Kids Vietnam" singing competition, and "Tuyet Dinh Song Ca" (great duets) on which he worked as a dedicated coach.
His "Noo Phuoc Thinh Live Concert" in Ho Chi Minh City in November 2016 drew a staggering two million views, including a record-breaking (on-the-spot) 35,000 in attendance and more than 1.8 million online viewers.
