Vietnam's first contest for foreign DJs kicks off

DJ Star International 2024 is the first television game show for Vietnamese and foreign DJs to choose electronic dance music (EDM) remixes of world classical music or Vietnamese folk music for their performance.

DJ Star International 2024, an exciting television game show for all Vietnamese and foreigners in Vietnam, has officially started.

What makes the program different is that the contestants are free to express their talents in the content and form that they desire, such as electronic dance music (EDM) remixes of world classical music or Vietnamese folk music in their performance.

Innovative from the materials to the production stage, the program promises to be a diverse playground with meaningful messages to spread young people's love for Vinahouse (Vietnam's electronic dance music) and gradually introduce this music genre to international music lovers.

Participating in the program, the first official playground for Vietnamese DJs, young DJs will have the opportunity to share and improve their creative skills with the help of the coaching staff and judges who are leading DJs in Vietnam and abroad.

The official competition consists of four rounds: Audition, Confrontation, Semi-Final and Final. On the final night, contestants can choose to be supported by singers and Western classic or Vietnamese traditional musical instruments. The final round is expected to be held on November 9 at The Cloud Entertainment Center in Berlin, Germany.

"I hope that the next generation of DJs will spread the culture, the image of the people and the homeland of Vietnam to international friends. DJ Star International 2024 will be a great playground for DJs to showcase their talents and skillfully incorporate seemingly impossible materials into electronic music,” said jury representative DJ Tommy.

DJ Star is a  TV DJ talent search contest in the form of a game show for contestants between the ages of 18 and 30.
