The Hanoitimes - The first phase of Duong River Surface Water Plant costs roughly VND5 trillion (US$215.2 million), supplying 300,000 cubic meters of water per day.
The first phase of Duong River Surface Water Plant Lam district has been completed with the designed capacity of 300,000 cubic meters (cu.m) of water per day for some three million people in Hanoi and its neighboring provinces of Hung Yen and Bac Ninh.
The plant takes water from the river for purifying instead of underground water, which has been depleted due to excessive exploitation.
