The Hanoitimes - Flight prices in 2019 will rise 2.6% and hotels 3.7%, but still there are plenty of ways to save if you hope to visit some of these incredible destinations, according to the Global Business Travel Association.
Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam has been named on the list of the top trending destinations – those places where flight searches have jumped the most year-over-year, according to a list released by Kayak, a travel search engine.

Kayak advises travelers that this big, bustling city in Vietnam is an enchanting mix of new and old, high-rise buildings and ancient temples, hot restaurants and traditional markets.
“Roundtrip flights range from just under US$700 to upwards of US$1,000, but hotels are very reasonable, hovering at around US$100 – 120 a night. Many use Ho Chi Minh City as a jumping off point for exploring the rest of Vietnam, whether it’s a bike trip through the countryside or a lazy trip to the beach,” Kayak wrote.
Mexico City tops the list, followed by Bali in Indonesia, Ho Chi Minh City, The Bahamas, and Guadalajara.
Earlier, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam has been ranked 4th among the 2019’s coolest city break destinations, according to a list released by Refinery29, a leading global media company focused on young women.
“Culture trip calls this Vietnamese metropolis a truly affordable city with a buzzing cultural scene to match,” Refinery29 wrote.
There are plenty of hidden alleyways and public art displays to explore, so make sure you try “ca phe da” (iced coffee), a traditional Vietnamese iced coffee drink that provides an energizing caffeine and sugar hit, Refinery29 advises.
The number of foreign visitors to Ho Chi Minh City in the 11 months of 2018 is estimated at 6.8 million, a 19.6% increase from the same period last year, according to Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism.
