The contest provides  Hanoi's enterprises and handicraft workshops with an avenue to restructure their catalogs while fostering the sustainable development of the capital's handicraft industry amid international economic integration.

It also promotes new product designs to meet domestic market demands and boost export capacity.

These products are expected to increase the competitiveness of Hanoi's handicraft production and promote the city's image, culture, and people.

Materials for creation include ceramics, lacquer, rattan, bamboo, pearl mosaics, wood, horn mosaics, embroidery, silk, copper, stone, and more.

All entries must be submitted to the Hanoi Industrial Promotion and Development Consultancy Center at 176 Quang Trung Street, Ha Dong Ward, Hanoi, before August 30.

Judging will be conducted in two rounds,  with products selected will be submitted to the Hanoi People's Committee for recognition.

Winning products will be displayed at the 2025 Hanoi Gift Show in October and at other events promoting the city's handicrafts.

Last year, 183 organizations and individuals submitted more than 423 products to the contest. About 90 items of them were awarded.
