AI-powered ‘Visit Vietnam’ tourism platform to be launched in Q2/2026

National digital infrastructure aims to enhance visitor experience, strengthen data-driven governance and support tourism businesses after record foreign arrivals.

THE HANOI TIMES — Vietnam will roll out an AI-powered national tourism platform, branded “Visit Vietnam,” in the second quarter of 2026, aiming to accelerate digital transformation and harness data and artificial intelligence to support one of the country’s fastest-growing industries.

The platform comes as Vietnam recorded a milestone 20 million international arrivals earlier this month, as part of the government’s efforts to modernize tourism management and improve services for travelers and businesses.

“Visit Vietnam” is being built as a unified digital ecosystem linking tourists, authorities and tourism operators through a single platform.

Acting as a virtual travel assistant, it will use national datasets and AI-powered recommendations to create personalized itineraries based on users’ preferences, time and budget.

Travelers will be able to book accommodation, transport, tours and tickets, manage trips in one place, access real-time destination information and receive updates on crowd levels, weather and service changes.

For regulators, the platform will offer a real-time tourism data map to monitor capacity, manage visitor flows and detect risks early, while consolidating data across leisure, resort and tourism management activities.

Tourism businesses will have access to digital tools to update products, manage services, analyze demand and track customer interest across markets, strengthening outreach to both domestic and international travelers.

At a more advanced stage, "Visit Vietnam" will produce market analysis reports by combining real-time tourism data with international payment data from Visa, helping operators identify high-value source markets, spending patterns, seasonal trends and consumer behavior, providing standardized, regularly updated insights to support product development and marketing.

Ha Nam Trung, Deputy Director of the National Data Center, said the platform could reshape tourism management, ease capacity pressures and strengthen Vietnam’s competitiveness for global travelers, with data and artificial intelligence at the core of the sector’s next development phase.
