All travelers entering Vietnam must declare health conditions

This is a bolder move to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic from spreading in Vietnam.

All travelers entering Vietnam must fill out health declaration forms upon arrival as of 6:00am on March 7 as the country tightens control over the spread of the new coronavirus, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said at a meeting on March 6.

Dam asked competent agencies to simplify procedures for health declaration to make it convenient for incoming travelers.

Declaration forms could be filled out on paper or online prior to arrival in Vietnam at the website http://suckhoetoandan.vn/khaiyte.

This is a bolder move of prevention amid the fast rising Covid-19 infections and fatalities across the world.

Besides, Vietnam has prepared more places for concentrated isolation, including isolation facilities for foreigners.

In the time ahead, the Ministry of Health will also issue detailed guidelines, specifically for hotels, businesses, factories and accommodation facilities used for concentrated isolation.

Currently, Vietnam is applying mandatory medical declaration for people from China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, the EU and Cambodia.

All 16 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have been cured and discharged from hospital. There have been no new cases recorded since February 23. There are 68 suspected cases under surveillance and isolation, including 52 new cases recorded on March 5.
