Autumn Fair 2025 concludes successfully, donates over US$13 million to flood-hit localities

The first national-scale cultural trade fair, held at the Vietnam Exposition Center from October 25 to November 4, is a platform for trade promotion and Vietnamese brand development.

THE HANOI TIMES — Hanoi’s first Autumn Fair 2025 wrapped up on a high note, raising more than US$13 million for  disaster-affected localities in central Vietnam.

The funds have been raised from the “Autumn of hope - Sharing love” initiative, first donation campaign launched at the fair’s opening worth $12 million) and the cancellation of fireworks displays planned for the fair’s closing ceremony valued at $1.2 million.

The “Autumn of hope - Sharing love” initiative at the fair placed charity boxes at all entrances of the venue to facilitate contributions from visitors, businesses and locals, either by bank transfers, in cash or in kind.

The donations have also been received through account number 26102025 at VietinBank of the central relief committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, said in a directive issued on November 1 that the decision for cancellation of fireworks reflects the city’s spirit of sharing and unity with residents of Hue city, Danang city, and Quang Ngai Province, which are suffering severe losses from prolonged floods.

Hanoi mayor said that the Autumn Fair 2025 is not a platform for trade promotion, but a symbol of social responsibility.

"The event reflects a principle that economic growth must go hand in hand with human and community development. Participating enterprises are encouraged to seek business opportunities and build a responsible and compassionate corporate image," said Thanh.

Attending the closing ceremony on November 3 night, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged businesses and citizens nationwide to keep supporting disaster-affected communities, helping them remain resilient, restore livelihoods and resume production promptly.
