Ba Dinh tourism ambassador contest ends successfully

The contest was one of the key activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

Ba Dinh District’s Federation of Labor and Women’s Union on September 26 co-organized the finale of the "Ba Dinh Tourism Ambassador” Contest 2024.

At the finale, 12 outstanding contestants, having beaten 82 participants in the preliminary rounds, showcased their talents, intelligence, and elegance with unique, creative communication ideas to promote the culture and heritage of Ba Dinh District.

The judges awarded one first prize, two second prizes, two third prizes, and several special awards, including Charming Tourism Ambassador, Talented Tourism Ambassador, and the Best Communication Idea.

The contest was one of the key activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024), and the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024).

The contest aims to raise the awareness among all women in the district about preserving, promoting, and communicating the historical and cultural values of Ba Dinh District and Hanoi, said Bui Phuong Chi, Chairwoman of Ba Dinh District’s Federation of Labor.

“Through this contest, we aim to showcase the beauty of historical Ba Dinh District with its unique cultural heritages, landmarks, historical sites, and scenic spots to visitors,” she said.

The contest is also a platform to encourage local female workers, officials, and laborers to actively contribute to building a peaceful, creative city and developing Hanoi’s cultural industries, she added.

“This initiative fosters a sense of responsibility in preserving the elegant and civilized lifestyle of Hanoi residents in all aspects of social life,” Chi said.
