According to Noi Bai International Airport, Chinese carrier Colorful Guizhou Airlines has chosen Hanoi as its first international destination. The airline will operate a new route from Guiyang to Hanoi (KWE – HAN).

A representative from Noi Bai International Airport explained that while it used to take around 12 hours to travel from Hanoi to Guiyang by road, the direct flight will cut the journey to just two hours.

The Guiyang – Hanoi route (KWE – HAN) will operate three round trips per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with a scheduled departure time of around 10:25 AM, using Airbus A320 aircraft.

By selecting Hanoi as its first international destination, the launch of the Guiyang – Hanoi direct route will provide more opportunities for tourists from Guizhou to visit Hanoi and surrounding northern provinces. It will also offer Hanoi residents more options for short holiday trips.

Colorful Guizhou Airlines, based in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, was founded in 2015 and operates 20 aircraft, including Embraer E190s and Airbus A320s.

The airline primarily focuses on domestic routes, serving destinations within Guizhou and other Chinese provinces. Its network is designed to support Guizhou’s growth as a tourism and business hub.

In Guiyang, Guizhou Province, tourists can visit the Jiaxiu Tower, an iconic structure over 400 years old, located on a small island in the Nanming River. They can also admire the Huangguoshu Waterfall, one of China's most beautiful waterfalls, standing 67 meters high and 83 meters wide, surrounded by majestic mountains.
