2016 was the 24th year when Hanoi City deploys the emulation "good people, good acts" and 7th year for honoring "Elite citizen of the Capital".

Especially, according to the City's Emulation and Reward Committee, a new feature is branches and levels pay special attention to the selection of typical emulations and develop new models, ways of implementation and innovations to bring in practical effects.
Typically, in the agricultural sector, with the motto "Each person and each working day is a good act following the moral sample of Uncle Ho, despite being just a smallest task". The natural resources and environment sector ignites the emulation "each officer, staff and labor proposes a solution to develop the business network for the public health", etc.
Meanwhile, the fatherland fronts at all levels promote and multiply the samples through the emulation "Improve the civilization and advance"'; the unions at all levels promote the emulation "good laborer", "Idea and Creativeness of the City", "Good Citizens of the City", etc. All levels of the Women's Unions organize “Develop families with 5 no and 3 clean”, the Youth Union with the emulation "startup", etc. attracting a lot of members to participate.

Through the emulation "good people, good acts', there have been many examples in the labor, creation and proposal of a lot of models and solutions in various sectors such as: Develop the economy, culture-society, improve administrative procedures, etc. to bring in great economic and social benefits.
In reality, there have been many ideas and technical improvements which are applied in the business and production, making contribution to generating billions of Vietnam dong per year. One of the examples are citizen Le Quoc Hinh - Dong Anh Aluminum Plant (Dong Anh Mechanical Company) who designs and manufactures aluminum extrusion mold, helping reduce the production cost and improve the labor productivity, save costs and bring a benefit for the Company of as much as VND 1.5 billion/year.
he emulation "emulation to build advanced rural area" has been widely and deeply deployed. Eleven communes were recognized to satisfy standards in the first 9 months of the year and another 35 communes are estimated to satisfy the standard (exceeding the plan).
Through this emulation, many safe vegetable, fruit, poultry, cow with large scale have been established, raising the average income per capita in the rural areas from VND 14 million/person/year (in 2011) to VND 33 million/person/year at present; reducing the proportion of poor households from 11.25% to under 1.5%, etc.
Especially, the year 2016 continues to be selected by the City to be the year of "administrative principle" with many drastic solution to improve the investment environment and promote the industrialization and modernization in the professional, modern and transparent orientation.
Through the emulation, many typical collectives, individuals and models have been developed, such as: Model "electronic residential areas" in Ha Dinh Ward (Thanh Xuan District) who have applied information technology in solving administrative procedures at wares to help the people reduce the time and efforts when contacting and solving the work in the ward. Or civil judicial officers such as Ms. Hoang Thi Chanh - one-door division of Xuan Dinh Ward (North Tu Liem District), Ms. Tran Thi Quyen - one-door division of Thach Ban Ward (Long Bien District) with the typical characteristic of daily and hourly work of contacting with the people, but being always instructing them conscientiously and always consult to solve 100% of administrative procedures timely, etc.
There are many other examples who have made the spreading of the emulation "good people, good acts”. Thus, they make contribution to helping the Capital's socio-economy to obtain very active results in the first 9 months of the year such as raising the total budget revenue of the locality to estimated VND 121,310 billion (reaching 71.6% of the plan); and gross product of the locality increased by 7.73% and established 15,165 new enterprises, up by 19% compared to the same period last year.
